Service Projects
For nearly 50 years, we continue our participation in the up-keep and improvements to the Lions Park operation. To date more than $100,000 in materials and labor have been contributed.
Our club sponsors an active LEO club in the Bremerton High School. These students serve the needy in the community. Each year several $1000 Scholarships are donated to worthy students.
We arrange for the Lions Health Screening Unit to be available in the community, so that free Glaucoma, Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Hearing and Visual Acuity screenings can be available free of charge
Under the Sister City program, we sponsor the exchange each year of 3 students from the community, while hosting three students from Kure, Japan.
Throughout the year, we donate to the Food Bank program and to the Salvation Army and other various organizations working with the needy. |
We provide the volunteer labor to maintain the appearance of the Admiral Theatre marquee, through periodic cleaning and changing the message for each upcoming event.

At Christmas Time, for a couple of days, our members will man the Salvation Army buckets, to relieve them of the need to hire personnel. Residents of several nursing homes are also cheered as we sing Christmas carols while Santas deliver gifts of fruit and stuffed animals.
